Sussu Laaksonen
Wordsmithie's vivacious branding and localization specialist, Sussu Laaksonen, launched her dramatic writing and cross-cultural facilitation career at age five in her native Finland by giving speeches to her grandfather's chickens in pretend Swedish. Later, Sussu helped turn the iconic Australian TV series, "Neighbors," into "Salatut Elämät," the most popular TV drama in Finnish history.
She also developed and wrote her own mini-series, and wrote scripts for TV shows, documentaries, feature films and shorts — winning an award at the Berlin International Film Festival in the process.
Moving to the United States and into the online world, Sussu worked for five years on Google's Global Content team, helping Google communicate its brand and messaging effectively in 50 languages, of which she understands five and speaks three fluently.
Sussu's speciality is emotionally effective communication in all mediums. She writes and edits, facilitates and organizes writing teams, provides editorial leadership, and consults on branding and localization.
