Michael Gaylord
For over 12 years, Michael (the guy next to Betty White) was responsible for “every screen but the television” for MTV Networks’ cable brands Nick at Nite and TV Land where he served as Vice President, Digital and a member of the executive and strategy teams.
Michael began his career at the dawn of the multimedia age in the digital shops of downtown Manhattan, and has extensive experience in creative direction, narrative development, user experience, convergent programming, integrated marketing, web analytics, and building and leading prolific and diverse digital teams. Now a resident of Madrid, Spain, where he manages Wordsmithie's European projects, Michael also specializes in editing and localizing promotional, business development, and PR materials for English-speaking markets.
Michael accepted the 2005 Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Enhancement of Original Television Programming for the TV Land Awards All Access Pass, and has had the fortune of interviewing many of his childhood idols, including Bea Arthur, Bob Newhart, Mary Tyler Moore, Mr. Ed, and all six Brady kids.
